Bruce, I want to personally thank you for the outstanding sound-system you provided at the Camdenton Tea-Party… Whenever I hear of an event that needs a professional system expert, I'll sure tell them about you. So many talk it — but don't walk it. I can't stand poor sound at a meeting that people have come to see and hear whatever is happening.
Thank you again. --Dick Bott, Sr.

To whom it may concern:
My name is Tom Kemper and I am part of the management team for "The Hilary Scott Band". I have had two wonderful experiences with "Nelson Audio & Light" and felt the need to express my appreciation. On July 4, 2004, we were contracted to play the fireworks display at Faurot Field, Columbia, MO. The attendance was approximately ten thousand and needless to say, an extremely important event for the band. Everything had to be perfect.

We had just come off a bad experience with another sound company and I was very concerned about how "Nelson Audio" was going to handle this big of an event. My initial contact with Bruce was at the afternoon sound check. I introduced myself to Bruce and his team. They seemed to be nice people.

"The Hilary Scott Band" is a seven piece acoustic, electric band, doing original material, very complicated. The sound check went fine, but I thought with a little tweaking, it would be great. At this point, I asked Bruce if, during the show, I might make some suggestions. Bruce thought it was a great idea.

Now I hope you understand my surprise. Most sound companies don't want to be bothered and think they are so "professional" that they don't need help. Bruce and his team were mild mannered and thankful for assistance.

That night, after only a few suggestions, they had it perfect. They caught the essence of the sound. They didn't need me any more. I was able to sit back and enjoy they show. I was impressed with how quickly they understood our sound and were able to give us the sound we wanted. IT WAS PERFECT.

On February 26, 2005, our paths crossed again at Columbia College, the "Officer Down" benefit at Launer Auditorium. This time, I was looking forward to working with them again. I was not disappointed. Again, I suggested that I assist during the show. Again, Bruce was very receptive. It was a flawless show. I honestly did not have to do anything. They had it perfect. They became the eighth member of the band.

Bruce Nelson and "family" are professionals. They are confident but not conceited. They have a peace about them. I would highly endorse "Nelson Audio & Light". They made my tense situations, pleasurable experiences.

Sincerely,

Tom Kemper
